Because of our continuing commitment to keep up with the latest in ever-developing nutritional research, we’ve made a few recent updates to the Isagenix product line in the form of new CytoActives and Complete Essentials Daily Pack.
So what was changed and why? Read on for our FAQ about how these two products can now serve you nutritionally in a more effective way.
COMPLETE ESSENTIALS DAILY PACK
Why was the name of Ageless Essentials Daily Pack changed to Complete Essentials Daily Pack?
Our Ageless Essentials Daily Pack has been rebranded with a new look and name and will now be called Complete Essentials Daily Pack.
Was any component in Complete Essentials Daily Pack changed?
Ageless Actives,” a component of the Daily Pack, is now labeled CytoActives with a newly enhanced formula. No other component in the product has changed.
CYTOACTIVES
What formula enhancements were there for the newly reformulated CytoActives?
CytoActives received the following formula enhancements:
- Added 40mg tocotrienols—the full-spectrum and bioavailable form of vitamin E complements other ingredients in the product for protecting cellular health.
- Increased vitamin D from 1,000 IU to 4,000 IU (U.S. and Puerto Rico only)—leading to a total of 5,000 IU when combined with Essentials for Men/Women as part of the Complete Essentials Daily Pack.
- Reduced resveratrol to 50mg from 250mg—aligns product with newer research that suggests a lower dosage supports cellular health and healthy aging.
- Easier-to-swallow softgels
Why was vitamin E in the form of tocotrienols added to the product?
Vitamin E is actually a term used to refer to a set of eight molecules, which are divided into two categories: tocopherols and tocotrienols. Generally, foods and supplements that contain vitamin E have the form called alpha-tocopherol. However, as a full-spectrum and bioavailable form of vitamin E, tocotrienols are more potent than alpha-tocopherol and other tocopherols for providing antioxidant support to cells due to distinctly more unsaturated points in their side chains. Typical diets do not provide adequate amounts of tocotrienols in comparison to tocopherols, and high-quality supplements such as CytoActives can help address this deficiency.
Where are the tocotrienols sourced from?
The tocotrienols in CytoActives is sustainably sourced from red palm oil. The palm oil is Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil (RSPO) certified.
Are both forms of vitamin E still provided?
Yes. CytoActives, as part of Complete Essentials Daily Pack, provides a complete vitamin E profile including both tocopherols and tocotrienols.
What additional benefits can I expect from tocotrienols in CytoActives?
CytoActives offers the same bioavailable and full-spectrum tocotrienols used in many studies performed at major research universities worldwide and sponsored by National Institutes of Health (NIH) with findings that they are efficiently transported to all tissues of the body and help provide unique support for the brain, heart, and liver.†
Why was resveratrol reduced to 50mg in CytoActives?
Increasing clinical evidence suggests resveratrol induces positive metabolic changes when used at lower dosages. For these reasons, resveratrol was reduced to 50mg in line with dosages used for supporting cardiovascular support and improving antioxidant status. Resveratrol has strong evidence of safety and efficacy at the dosage used in CytoActives.
Why was the amount of vitamin D increased in CytoActives?
Increasing clinical evidence suggests that the majority of us need greater amounts of vitamin D in our diets daily. In recent research, for example, scientists suggest that 3,000-5,000 IU daily is necessary to achieve and maintain optimal levels of active circulating vitamin D in the blood stream. The need for more vitamin D is emphasized for those who may be overweight or obese, spend their majority of time indoors, or during the winter season.
What additional benefits can I expect from increased vitamin D in CytoActives?
When optimal levels are reached and maintained in the body as made easier by Complete Essentials Daily Pack with CytoActives, you can expect better support for brain, immune, bone, and cardiovascular health.†
